[philmont] Practice Hikes - McGee Creek NSRA in OK

Has anyone done McGee Creek NSRA in OK? I have been searching for any info and have come up pretty dry. We are scheduled to go there over Memorial Day weekend and I would like as much info as possible. I'm getting a map from them but would love waypoints, tracks, topos, books that mention the trails, etc. to help us out.

On another note - we just came back from the SR2 trail @ Sid Richardson in Brazosport, TX. I posted a MPS file on the Philmont Forum web site. It has tracks for our two day trek from last weekend. If you haven't hiked it (and are in the area) it is a nice trail. The whole thing is about 18 miles. I know SR2 is closing sometime soon for summer camp prep but you might be able to get on it if you hurry.

I am also starting a blog of our practice hikes and will be posting our actual trek in July. I can send photos and emails from my iPhone and keep the families informed of our progress. Still tweaking the bugs out.
