For what it's worth...
in 2006, several of us took pairs of "hard soled" water shoes (purchased at
Target (I think) for about $4/pr.). These were easily as light as crocks;
hung on the outside of our packs and were VERY comfortable to put on when we
got to camps. The had fabric uppers which completely covered the foot.
SOooooooooooooo,
End the Croc debate and pick up some hard soled water shoes!
(I had originally looked for Crocs, thinking that they would work, but
became frustrated in not being able to find my size (13) or when I did
seeing only pink, yellow or white.....not my idea of a manly shoe!)
