Sorry Sue... when I saw you were from Limerick, PA, I couldn't resist.
There once was a girl from P.A.
Who wore her boots during day.
She hoped the group wouldn't mock
If she decided, at night, to wear crocs
But John LeBlanc would undoubtedly have his say.
(I'll bet this poor effort at a limerick ain't exactly the first time one has been tossed in your direction.)
My apologies. :-)

Okay - so I am returning to Philmont this summer for my second trip as an advisor. The last time I did not take camp shoes, was lucky and had not reason to have them, and was fine with my feet. HOWEVER, I am thinking this time I may need to take something.
With all of that said, can someone tell me how much a pair of crocs actually weigh? I have been going back and forth between crocs, light weight running shoes, solid bottom "slippers" etc.
I do not want to get into who thinks what is better, and I agree that if it says CAMP SHOE it does not mean slipper or flip flop or sandals without any real substance, but I am trying to decide what style croc people take and how much they weigh.
Last time out, I was a little lighter than I will be this time - my husband (the scoutmaster at the time) carried a little more of the load - he is staying home this year (unless I can convince him otherwise - he wants to go but business keeps him home) and I'll have to watch how much weight I am carrying.
Thanks -
