First off, a trek to Philmont is not a walk in the Park.
It is a Trek which requires preparation and team work.
second, I have waited too long to chime in on the footware diatribe.
All one needs are good, sturdy hiking boots, well-broken in and a pair
of comfy sneaker or boat shoes for the campsite.
Crocs or Jello shoes or sandals or whatever fad footwear is popular
should be
left at home with other modern-day trinkets to not ruin the TRUE
PHILMONT
EXPERIENCE.
IMHO & two cents....
