I don't fly as much as Karen but then again I don't get paid to get
yelled at by customers who are treated like trash while my bosses treat
me like trash as well.

I am both jealous and respectful of her job. Jealous as in the last
500 flights I have not had a single "fun incident as she describes.

Well there was the prostitute who transformed from an attractive young
lady to something out of your wildest fantasy's in the seat next to me
(her customer was picking her up at the airport). Great conversation
and it is amazing what you can do with a makeup kit and taking clothes
off at 30,000 feet.

And there was the guy who used several 8oz cans of Vick's rub on his
body and made nearly everyone for rows away sick. Everyone was unhappy
and there was nothing the poor flight attendant could do. I felt a bit
sorry for the guy. He was almost as old as John and had not flown since
some bad incident in Nam. He was flying from Detroit to Sacramento to
see his Kids for Christmas. It was as much work for him as is was for
the rest of us.

I'm sure she has her problems with Scouts and School groups who are loud
and having fun when the business travelers just want to get some rest on
the late night and early morning flights.

And there have been some minor drunks but nothing really fun like the
stuff Karen gets to deal with all the time.

And I have had my days with TSA battles or some other issues that has
spoiled my mood. I make sure not to transfer that to those who are not
in the line of fire and should not be punished for the actions of others.

But never any really good stuff.

A huge salute to Karen and her peers. These people are really some of
the unnoticed hero's in todays workforce!!!
