Yeah you are talking to me. Our packs solve the BALOO problem by
ignoring it. We stay within the G2SS on our outings, not because it
is the rules but because it makes sense. Getting our den leaders to go
is just not gonna happen since turnover is high and they don't see value
in the class. If they allowed IOLS to be used for BALOO or allowed a
way to audit the class we would be in compliance.
But they won't, so we don't and the band plays on.
I am waiting for there to be a major incident where the leader was
"trained" and the attorney suing BSA uses the attack that the parents
had a right to expect the patch that says trained to mean something.
After all there is a reasonable expectation that most titles have
something behind them and the BSA is supposed to be an outdoor
organization.
Or am I missing something?
