Don't forget, June 7 is national trails day.
It is a great day to schedule your trail maintenance before your trek

do the other 7 hr before you go!! Did it after on my first 2 treks, don't
know why it didn't occur to me to do before someone in this group discussed
it. Only a 3 or 4 got the patch that way.

in 2007, 10 out of the 12 got the patch. We used conservation/trail work
at local hiking trail for the other 7 hr. It was a great way to again get
the boys together more and work on group dynamics and team work. It was
optional but everyone but 2 boys came.

I also worked on Backpacking MB during our training. At our crew meetings
and we worked on requirements. The training hike/campouts were designed to
complete requirements too. As of now, 6 out of the 9 boys have completed
the merit badge.

with planning your crew members can earn alot, look for local
patches/awards that can be earned from your council or High adventure team.
