My crew is bringing a portable cell phone blocker.
It gives use a square mile of peace and quiet from people who would rather
yak to someone who did not make the trek rather than enjoy
the ranch. The unit only weighs 14 ounces and I'd be glad to give a URL to others who would rather
be eaten alive by horse flies than listen to a one-sided cell phone conversation.

(tongue firmly in my cheek:)
PS it'll block satellite phones also

While I personally don't look forward to the annual Cell Phone discussion, I do have news you can use.
My son the Ranger (Beams) called home on his Verizon Cell Phone from basecamp today ... the call was crystal clear.
Obviously something has changed, last season standing on one foot on top of a stump with your hand in the air would get u half a bar.
Let the cell phone games begin.
You might want to consider drumming me out of the group as I think I was also responsible for starting Turkey Bags this season.
