Okay - well seems like a good idea to me, so I'll reintroduce myself too.
I'm an odd person on this list because:

A)I'm a Canadian
B)I've never been to Philmont (but would like to go one day)

Now that being said, why am I here? When I signed up for the list I just
wanted to learn as much as I could about the Philmont experience and copy it
for my base. What I discovered was this - you can't copy Philmont, it's
just not going to happen, but you can learn from what Scout leaders say
about it and develop a similar program.

So, why am I still here you ask? Well, for starters I like to flog my
program (*BIG SARCASTIC GRIN HERE*) and I'm hooked on the stories.

A little bit about me:

-worked two seasons at Northern Tier (you know - that _other_ national high
adventure base)
-Full Time Employee of Scouts Canada and the founder of Impeesa Extreme -
Canada's first Backpacking high adventure base
-avid outdoorsman and gear junkie (It's all about the gear really - I don't
_really_ like camping that much - I just like the toys :P ).

Enough about me, on with the show!

Mike
