Bill McGhee asks...
Anyone been in this situation before....
I am doing both Kanik and Sea Base in 2003. Do you think I need to get a
physical for both or will Sea Base take my Phil Physical? I guess I can
call Sea Base and find out, just wondering if anyone else has had the same
come up.
Comment...
The Sea Base and Philmont forms are ALMOST the same, or at least were in
2002 when I did both (Spring Break in Florida with the Crew and Troop,
Autumn Adventure at Philmont) - the main difference was the Philmont
altitude advisory was a heat and humidity one for Sea Base. Another was
that the Sea Base hieght/weight chart was not the absolute cutoff it is
for Philmont. And I am pretty sure there is no blood pressure requirement
at Sea Base. From that perspective, separate forms make some sense - you
know someone would misinterpret a single form that included different
criteria for the different programs.
Doctor had no problem filling out two forms for me (in a single visit).
