I am getting my scouting sons and SM hubby each a Princeton Tec Aurora
headlamp. Only weighs 2.8 oz with the batteries in and is great. I used
it for 60 nights while on the Public Lands Journey and only had to change
the batteries once. No shadows and 3 brightness levels plus 2 strobes for
emergencies.
I am asking Santa for a Garmin E-trex Legend GPS unit, mostly to use on the
weekends so that I can go geocaching, a fun pastime that is really catching
on out here on SC and elsewhere.
Don't forget Froggtoggs (we all have them and they are great rainsuits).
