RE: [Philmont]: Another Subject- XMas Gifts

I just got a North Face Mountain Light Parka (GoreTex XCR) from Campmore
-- It's last year's model, only color is green, but since that's the
color I prefer, no problem there.

$189 =/- on clearance, don't know if they have more.

Note that North Face makes a nice fleece that zips into the jacket --
when I went to REI to get one, the REI staffer told me that their house
brand would fit, $60 vs $99 for the North Face.

Great Headlamp! Only problem was the rubber button thing came out the
day after I bought it while on a campout, but i took it to my local
outfitter shop when i got back, and they replaced mine for free... After
that, no problems whatsoever. LED is nice :-D

I'm asking Santa for a stove, and a new jacket (w/ Gore-tex), along with
a car ;-)

Any suggestions on a good waterproof jacket? I've been looking at a few
in the Sierra Trading Post cataloges.

Thanks!
