RE: [Philmont]: uniform traveling

I attended PTC last summer. The weekend before, I was at Colorado Springs,
with my son and wife, at a dinner theatre when I saw a number of Scouts and
Leaders enter after coming down Pike's Peak on the cog railway. I suddenly
realized that I was wearing a "wood badge" t shirt and drinking my one
alloted "adult" beverage [self imposed limitation]. My wife and son were in
civvies. I quickly got rid of it and introduced myself to the adult
leaders. They were not on the way to Philmont but were enjoying an
adventure around the Colorado Springs area but the following thoughts would
apply in any case.

1) it was impressive to see them in uniform.
2) they were well behaved.
3) remember when you wear the uniform, you must consider your actions as
well - such as adults smoking and the adult choice of beverage.

[in my case, I hope no one was able to see the "wood badge" nature of my t
shirt].

4) my son got a T.Roosevelt CSP in exchange for a Jayhawk Area CSP.
