Re: [Philmont]: uniform traveling

We traveled in our Class A to and from Philmont last summer. Although the
boys don't readily admit it, they enjoyed the fact that more people came up
to us and talked with us. They even had girls come up to them and start
talking to them (imagine that, girls that didn't think they were geeks in
their uniforms <VBG>).

One thing that I was confused about. We were told that Class A uniforms were
also required at dinner at Philmont. When we were there I would say a third
of the crews were not in uniform. If this is true, and Philmont doesn't
enforce it, how do we explain this to our crew? Our boys picked up on it
right away but the reason and effect of our crew being in uniform, looking
good had a funny effect...they started showing an attitude of pride.
