Recommend Optimus Nova. The base (legs extended) wide enough and sturdy
enough to handle an 8-10 qt pot. Puts put plenty of heat but also
simmers very well. I've had one for two years (two 50 milers, numerous
campouts and weekend backpacking trips and haven't had a problem with
it. A friend of mine also bought one and the only issue he's had is
when it clogged due to contaminated fuel. We changed the inline filter
and it worked fine.

As a "new guy", I will be picking your brains for info periodically. I
need
input on your favorite backpacking stove. I currently have a Peak 1 Apex
but
am looking to purchase another stove. Whisperlite, Dragonfly ?
Also need to know how much fuel to carry, best type of fuel bottles,
etc. Please fill me in. Thanks , Mark
