A very helpful preparation resource has been the Philmont
Advisor's Guide, written by Cooper Wright, National Capital
Area Council, and Wally Feurtado, Baltimore Area Council
(and with input from other Phil-experienced Scouters whose
names we would recognize from this list). This 80-plus
page document is used as a fund raiser for Coop's Venturing
Crew in Alexandria, and for a small donation he makes it
available upon request. Coop and Wally have multiple Phil
Trek experience and this well-written document provides a
wealth of details that supplement the official Philmont
information and help adult advisors prepare their crews.
While this Guide is typically updated each year with the
latest, I haven't heard much about it recently. Coop, do
you have a 2002-updated version yet?
