Hey. That's how I went both years. I was the only one from my troop that
wanted to go, and the council had three treks going. And if youa re the
adult leader of a trek, you do get to include your child, and a few members
of their troop/crew. That is the way a few troops/crews around here get to
go, for usually there are two parents and like 3-5 scouts, and the council
will sometimes let them use that, and fill the extra spaces with other
scouts, like me. Plus, going with a big council trek, some of the travel,
lodging and stuff is pretty much handled or already pre-planned. So trying
to go with a council trek is a good idea for those that do wish to go,
especially those invidual scouts.
