If you were not able to get a trek assignment for 2004 this last
Saturday. Now is the time to check with your Council to see when
their deadline is for their Council Contingents. Here in the
Northeast Georgia Council we take council reservations in January.
So you might want to check with your Council. My first two treks
were with Council Contingents. And for a first timer it really works
out great to allow the Council to make all of your arrangements and
you can focus on your crew. Other trek opportunities include OA
Trail Crew and short Treks.
We have always use the Council Contingent as our backup in case
we did not get a reservation. Which occurred in 98 & 00 for our
Troop.
