Mark or Alan, if the BWCA is you goal and you can't
get reservations through the Scout Camp, you might
contact a local outfitter by the name of Canadian
Border Outfitters (CBO). I've used them twice now and
they are very good. They can provide everything
(including sleeping bags and pads) or you can bring
some of your own stuff and cut the cost. Their prices
are less than C.L.S. There are several other
outfitters in the Ely area too. CBO just happens to be
located about a mile away from C.L.S. on Moose Lake.

I agree with the idea of 'Seeing America'. I'd love to
have the AT or PCT in my backyard. But then the Ozark
Highland Trail isn't that far away.

Harry
