I have had two Bibler tents, but not the Betamid. I consider my Bibler tent
to the Lotus of tents. (I own, North Face, Moss, Coleman, Sierra Design and
Mountain Hardwear tents and have tested dozens more.) The two person
mountaineering tent has held on to the side of a mountain with 120 mph winds
and survived 12 feet of snow in two days. (lots of shoveling every hour
though.) There are no finer tents on the market. My first Bibler tent did
not survive a trip because in the middle of the night we cut out the floor
and buried our ice axes and pickets to keep from blowing off the mountain.
Rest of tent survived. What other tent can you unfold, through your gear
in, crawl in and set up from the inside.

Subject: [Philmont]: Bibler Betamid tent
