Philmont tentage is one of the most popular topics on this list serve.

Our ten member crew brought a total of 5 tents: 2 Alps Mountaineering
Mystiques, 1 Eureka Zeus, 1 REI Half Dome and 1 REI Taj; we also brought our
own Kelty trail fly. We had very colorful campsites.

There are advantages to using Philmont;'s tents, and advantages in bringing
your own, but you are NOT required to have tents that all look alike, nor
are you required to go with either all from home, or all checked out at
Philmont.

Subject: [Philmont]: TENTS AT PHILMONT??

I've heard different info regarding tents at Philmont. I have a NORTHFACE
PEBBLE 2man tent I would like to take, instead of using theirs. Is this
allowable or not? I've heard you can take your own as long as it's 2 man;
and then I've heard everyone has to have the same tent style and color. Can
anyone shed light on thIs subject? Not everyone in my crew will have their
own, or be able to get their own, and will be using Philmonts.
