Our plans for 2004 trip. Troop 125 Wellington , FL
  1) 4 Crews. 2 Venture 2 Scout
2) Fly out June 26 to DIA
3) Rent suburbans
4)Drive to Co Springs & spend the 26th & 27th touring the sites. Don't plan
on Pikes Peak that weekend , because of their annual races up the mountain.We
plan on doing Pikes Peak on the way back from Phil.
5)28th & 29th of June drive from Co springs to the Gunnison region in CO.
Very pristine. 180 miles SW of CO springs. Mountain Bike in Crested Butte. Give
the kids a " TO DO" list so they can choose activities.They have lots to do in
that region. Plus its high to get acclimation. We only want sick people before
Philmont!! LLOLO.
6) June 30th Drive to Cimmarron We already have reservations at a hotel. On
the way from Gunnison to Philmont stop by Sand Dunes Nat. PK. & or Hot springs
in Altimosa. Nice place. The kids can swim.
7) July 1 starts our trek. we plan on early arrival to complete all 18 tasks
for the day without having to rush like wild scouts!!!!!!!!!!
8) Off trail July 12th.
9) Breakfast July 13th tour a little on the way back to DIA back to
reality!!!!!!!!!!!!
10) Everyday pre Philmont we will take a 2-5 mile trail hike for training &
touring some awsome trails in Colorado
   11) We did not opted for a tour bus . We want mobility. & Philmont storage
for 48 people .
