What size tarp do they use at Philmont for the crew? It is my understanding
that the one provided is one of those blue plastic ones. I am looking to buy
a lighter/more useful one for the crew. Also looking into light weight crew
pots.

PS Some of the crew will be missing from meeting this weekend. I plan on
having a follow up meeting the first week in Dec.

There are some new ultra light weight packs that are really a good
suspension system and a big bag. Weigh-in at about 3 lbs.

So where do you find a 3 pound pack that will do Philmont duty? It
would need about 4500 cu. in. and carry about 35-40 pounds.

I am more than willing to leave my 6 pounder at home. Thirty-five
pounds
sounds great.
