[Philmont]: What I am doing next summer.

We are hitting the trail July 2, 2004. It will be my second trek, and the third we have arranged since I became Scoutmaster. We have 24 slots and we are full. Right now we have too many adults, but I have sneaking suspicion that several of them are going to back out. We have young crews this year, only three or four who will be able to drive next year. That's alright with me, I will be able to keep up with them at Philmont.

Sad part is, I likely will have to step down as Scoutmaster after Philmont. Just taking too much of my family time, my son has lost interest, and we struggle to get other leader's support. I have three scouts finishing Eagle projects right now (none my own son), and it's been two or three meetings a week this Fall. And that doesn't include Philmont prep. Only an hour a week!
