Rob,
I think you should see your MD and get his opinion before you take
yourself off the crew. Some medication and a few weeks of physical
therapy might do wonders for you. I had bilateral Achilles
tendinitis
in October 2002 before our June 2003 Trek last year. I was also
ready
to drop off the crew list but five weeks of PT and some meds really
cleared it up and I had no problems whatsoever on the trail. See
what
your MD says before making any final decisions.
