RE: [Philmont]: provo crews

I have also been an advisor for a Troop crew and a Provisional crew from my
council. The Provisional crew was great...............no one brought any
previous "baggage" from past campouts or activities.

We had 5 training hikes, various advisors planned, the last was a sierra
Trek near Lone Pine, CA.

I would schedule several business meetings and have low cope or ice breaker
activities to help the boys get to know each other. Good communication and
team building are critical for a successful trek.
