My 2 cents:

Wicking T-Shirts. Coolmax, etc. Our troop bought 85% Poly and 15% Cotton
shirts from InSync and had them screened with the Philmont Arrow and our
troop info.

Convertible Pants.

100 weight long-sleeved Polar Tec shirt. Plenty warm and packs much smaller
than traditional 200 weight. From REI.

Waterproof Clothing bag. Again found a very cool one from REI. Bright
orange with an air valve on the side. Pack in the clothes, shut the end,
open the valve and squeeze out all the air you can, then close the valve.
Cuts down on the pack space. Pretty cheap, about $12-$15.

Lexan bowl, spoon and cup.

Trekking Pole, wouldn't leave home without it.

Another Waterproof bag for the sleeping bag. We spent 5 afternoons in very
heavy rain, never a drop on the bag.

Gortex or Omnitech boonie hat.

Digital camera. Best buys - IMHO - Canon A70, CoolPix from Nikon either the
2100 or 3100. And, a couple 128 MB CF cards.

32 oz. nalgeen bottles, 3 per person

Rain gear - my son and I used Columbia Omnitech gear, worked great. Also
like Marmot lightweight gear.

Polartec gloves. Polartec pullover cap.

Polypropylene Long Underwear.

Poly Underwear. Boxers.

Pack Towel - large

3/4 length Ultra Thermarest

Good quality Swiss army knife.

Scouting bandanas.
