Try to get your hands on a 2005 treks book. According to the Philmont rep that visited our council, the changes to central and south aren't very extensive for 2006, but the north might have several changes as the regrowth from the fire is coming along better than expected. I think we can expect to see quite a change in the fire-affected treks based on his comments.

Next summer (06) I am taking a contingent with 2 crews (24 youth and adults)
to Philmont. We have discussed which features wed like to include in our
program and the agreement is that wed like fishing and wed like to hike
out over the tooth on the last day. Looking at my trek book from 04 it
appears that Treks 11, 12, 13, and 14 would fit our needs. I have only hike
in the North and Central parts of Philmont so I have several questions, and
here they are:
1. Have there been any changes to Treks 11, 12, 13, and 14 since the 04
book?
Not to the routes, but Carson Meadows became a staff camp with the Search and Rescue program. Check out http://www.troop116.org/philmont/phlitinxref.htm#0 to see all chanages since 1999. 16 and 20 also look like possibilities for you.
2. Which of the 4 treks would you prefer (I'm leaning toward 14, but I don't
get to vote - not a youth)
That's really not a relevant question - if you have specific questions about the individual treks, that is a different story.
3. Any suggestion about fishing at Philmont would be helpful.

4. Can a contingent with 2 crews request that booth crews be given the same
trek?
Absolutely - they need to the same five treks in the same order AND send their cards back together.
