All this talk of some of the more difficult trails in 87714 reminds me
of one three day stretch while on Rayado in '76. Remember, those were
the days that Rayado Crews could hike "over the fence" (well, even if we
couldn't, we did!).
Awoke at Puebalno. Hike to Copper Park via French Henry. Lunch. Up
and over Baldy. Meadow Crash in the Baldy Saddle.
Day 2. Up and over Touch-Me-Not. Bushwhack straight down to Ute Park.
Lunch. Up the powerline cut to Sawmill then to Cito.
Day 3. Early morning on Steamship Rock. Hike to Cyphers. Leisurely
hike to Clear Creek via Phillips.
If memory serves, we slept in a bit the next morning. Oh, how I wish I
was that young again....
