[philmont] "Smokey" hat?

Bill,

Smokey the Bear didn't exist until 1944. B-P was wearing one in 1907, and
it's known as a campaign hat.

Of course, thanks to the Forest Service public service ads and posters, B-P
was not as famous in the USA as the bear. And that's how State Troopers who
wear campaign hats became known as "Smokey."

By the way, I actually sold one last month, so there are still Scouters who
wear them!
