[philmont] The Philsearch Project

I want to point to two particular camp pages on the Philsearch project as
having photographs which
do justice to the beauty of Philmont, namely the Uracca and Carson Meadows
camp pages.
There are others that are excellent but I thought I would mention these two.

There are other camps that have good photographs but I'm sure there are
others
that would be great additions to what is already up. Dan Beard camp has two
good photographs up but, having been to Dan Beard Camp, I'm certain that
there are other photographs that
would convey the stunning beauty of this camp. The photos that are
currently up show the long distance scenery very well but what would be
great would be to have some photographs that show the camp itself.

I regret very much that both times I went to Philmont I didn't take a
camera. For those that did and can dig out their favorite photographs to
put up on the Philsearch project I would point out the great "Good Turn" you
will do for those boys who will browse the Philsearch pages as part of their
trek selection process. It will aso be a good turn for everyone interested
in Philmont Scout Ranch who wish to "see" more of the Ranch, which is
probably everyone who has ever been there.

The progress in getting great photographs up has been tremendous. I
encourage everyone on the list to browse what has been accomplished and look
in your photo files for additional pictures that will enhance the value of
the project.
