[Philmont] Trek selection

A couple of things on this topic:

wrt changing contacts - The ranch wants to hear about a change in contacts
from the current contact, I'd get your current guy to contact the ranch
ASAP, as getting changed without his cooperation is more challenging, by
design..

wrt Treks Guide - This only one of several mailings you will see, Medical
forms and some other supporting materials will arrive independently and
sooner. As I'm sure you know last year's treks guide is available on-line
at http://philmontdocs.watchu.org/itineraries.htm, or you can explore the
treks themselves at www.philsearch.org. These resources, and others, can be
used in advance of the arrival of the 2008 treks book to help your crew
understand the anatomy of a trek and the likely choices they will have.

  I apologize in advance for asking what I'm sure is a question that has
been answered a number of times, but what is the approximate timeframe for
the trek guides to be sent to the crews so that they can send in their
choices to Philmont? Correspondence with Philmont has been through the
Scoutmaster of our troop, but he's retiring from that role this month, and
is not an advisor for our troop's crew, so I wanted to be sure that we didn'
t inadvertently miss the packet when it was sent.
