[Philmont] Autumn Adventure versus Philmont Training Center

But I don't think that Autumn Adventure can possibly
compare to a Philmonttrek. The camps aren't staffed, there are no
programs, it's typically notas long, and there are other differences

And that's what makes AA a LOT better than a summer trek for an adult. Just my opinion.

And now to your wife. If she enjoys being "entertained" and taken shopping in Taos, then she might like the spouses part of the PTC experience, however if she wants to hit the trail, then AA is your and her only opportunity. Take it.

But I'll give you some husbandly advise. Coddle her at the Casa del Gavilan for a couple days before an d after the AA, treat her to Cimarron and Taos and a trip through Red River and she will hold you in the highest esteem. It will be worth the effort and expense many time over.

And don't cheap out on cheap motels in Colovis, they are next to the railroad tracks and you get to listen to the trains whistle by at all hours of the night huh Calvin Gray?
