Hmmmmm. How do I fix this.

Oh yeah. AA trips are terrible. Don't go. Back in 1948 California was
a wonderful place and then some nut case talked about the great weather,
gold and other fun stuff. People flooded in from all over the world and
things have not been the same since. The flood of people still has not
stopped.

We are not kidding when we say the total population on the ranch
(including staff) for the week that Calvin, Bill, John and I were there
was probably under 100 people. Never considered what a treat it was to
have my meals on the Porches of Beaubien, Miranda, Fish camp, or
Poniel. We go there, place was ours and all was happy. In the event
another crew were to show they wold be welcome as well. With the
current overcrowding situation we welcome new friends (no strangers on
the ranch)

What does seem different is the type of trek you plan. Calvin's crews
basecamp and of the 4-5 days of hiking only a couple of people go on all
trips. We carried our backpacks maybe 300 yards total for the week.
Those who are smart enough to let their bodies rest a bit get . I think
Bill's crew did do backpacking trip. The key is that you can pretty
much do whatever you want.

Me, I just keep checking my inbox waiting for the next opportunity to
return. Like Bill I own my own business. Going off the grid for a
week is expensive. Not going off the grid costs far more from a
physical and mental health point of view.
