In July 2006 our regular summer camp had a grandfather (about 55) fail
his physical. He had put it off until 48 hours before we were supposed
to leave for camp.

It was a real bummer for both the grandson and dad (a friend of mine).

Grandpa went to another doctor who signed off and said things were
probably OK. Grandpa came on a trip on the USS Hornet in November and
was clear with his displeasure of the first Doctor for not letting him
go to camp.

On December 24th 2006 Grandpa had a massive stroke and died while
shaving. A serious bummer that hit everyone pretty hard.

I know the discussion falls on deaf ears but we should all think
carefully about ANY activities where we cannot meet the requirements.
They really are there for a reason.

FYI: This includes me and my flirting with the weight requirements even
though my BP has dropped considerably since becoming addicted to the ranch.

Mark
