Oh no! not the youth/adult, can of worms! Depends. If he is registered as a Boy Scout, at 18 he is an adult. If he is Registered as a Venture Scout he is a youth until 21.Pick your poison on whether you need the extra adult or want him as a youth to take another Dad
  stay tuned, you will get lots of comments on this!
   
  For those of you getting reservations, remember, never pay for all your spots. You can add people at the end, even up to the day you arrive. But if you pay for someone and they back out, you loose the fee. Do yourself a favor and build in a 2-3 person buffer.

  C'mon Fred, it's not a can of worms that got opened, it's the first of a zillion questions the groupd GOING to Philmont ask as opposed to groupd WANTING to go to Philmont.
   
  Of course your to the poiont answer was appreciated by those wondering as always.
   
  I wancha to know that the otehr day I thought about ole Fred. I was sitting atop a mesa (not quite Mt. Phillips) at my deer lease munching on some jerky and a few M& M's and I thought about what Fred was doing since I was doing our Mt. Phillips thing.
   
  And just to show the connection, the closest town to me was Big Lake, Texas. If you don't catch the connection, that's where the inspiration for "The Rookie" coached H S baseball and promised if the team made the playoffs, that he'd try out for Major League Baseball. They did and he did and he played for the Durham Bulls and even pitched at Yankee Stadium. And that's all I know about that except that Big Lake is just about the same size as Cimarron, NM.
