I agree with David, and much of the logic (for or against some form of
'compensation' for advisors) can be applied at the troop level as well. As
with any thread, we can elect to skip over those messages that don't
interest us.

I have found this discussion very interesting. Our council is dealing with
this issue for 2003 and we are very interested in how others are dealing
with this. We have adults that do not have the means the same as some of
the boys. Any guidance is certainly welcome.

the list. he provided his email address. thank you, alan. for all those
who have yet to respond, please follow alan's direction. my council, and
i doubt any other council, is going to change its policy as a result of
the survey, so i don't need to know what your council is doing in this
