Stamping your journal is a good idea but be careful! At one staffed camp,
which will remain nameless, they asked our Crew Leader if he wanted his
crew leader's copy stamped. He answered yes, to which the backcountry
staffer proceeded to take a knife and cut a pattern in the crew leader's
copy over the top of other stamps. The crew leader and entire crew were
upset by this. If this camp's idea of a stamp was akin to carving their
initials into the crew leader's copy, they should have said so before they
did it. I am not sure how someone would have reacted after their journal
was cut up.
This particular staffed camp got very poor remarks in the evaluation.
Thanks,
