We are taking our Troop to Philmont...6-16A 2003...We are in the process of
fundraising to pay the entire crews fees. We also have 3 families with
multiple members. The way we are handling it is the fundraisers are set up
for Philmont only, if you choose to help and are not going, the money still
gets divided up between the boys that are helping at that fundraiser. We are
from a town of 1900 people, but we did a Krispy Kreme fund raiser this last
weekend. We advertised and by word of mouth that we would be selling them
Saturday at the Scout hall until they were gone. We sold 101 dozen in an
hour and fifteen minutes and made $303. I think we'll do that again! We also
are doing work days and a taco supper to earn money.
Thats my 2 cents.
