RE: [Philmont]: uniform traveling

In 1991 we had crews from two troops traveling together. The three
crews from our troop were in full class A while the two crews from the
other troop were wearing a red troop t-shirt and shorts (not Scout
shorts). The difference in appearance was striking. It left no doubt
in my mind I was with the right troop.

On the return trip the other troop was not even in their red t-shirts so
you could not tell they were part of a group. As we were boarding the
plane in Colorado Springs, the gate attendant motioned some of the out
of uniform troop aside and told them that they were "going to let the
Scouts board first." Our guys walked on by.
