is about vestibules, not what should be stored there:-)

The way we have addressed the lack of a vestibule, is that when
we set up the tent, we intentionally have the front middle tent pole
lean forward about 3-5 inches, then we set up the back pole accordingly.
This allows a little more overhang than is normally present to help
leave some cover for boots etc. I think it works well for what I am
looking for. I keep my water bottle and boots and camera (Ziplock) in my
boot out there.

We will be going for the first time and have decided to use Philtents.
After we pitch the tents for the first time, I cannot imagine set up
being much of an issue. Our only concern is the lack of a vestibule.
Do most bring their shoes inside the tent or leave them covered or in a
plastic bag outside?
