You want something that you can set on your lap so it does not burn your.
You also want your food to stay warm if you set it on the ground.
I have a regular plastic bowl with lid. I took insulation (the thick cell
blue stuff I can't remember right now) and wrapped it around the bowl. How
stuff does not burn my leg and my food stays warmer longer. Always take the
lid. Put the lid on whenever you are not eating. Prevents chicken noodles
all over a down bag.

Subject: [Philmont]: Personal eating bowls?
Has anyone had any experiance with using the new light weight micorwaveable,
dishwasher safe, freezer containers that are now in the supermarkets, for
personal bowls/plates for the trail. One brand is called "Glad Ware". They
are very light, but do they hold up in the packs?
thanks
