I was going to try using these, but I had one split
when stuffed in my pack.

What we used that worked extremely well - and was part
of a cooking method that I believe is unequaled in
simplicity - the GSI Fair Share mug - Lexan plastic
with a large handle and a screw-on lid. Rehydrate food
right in the mug - with lid screwed on to retain heat.
Use a small spatula to wipe when done. Put a small
amount of warm water in after that, screw on lid,
swish, then human-sump it. Sterilize it at your next
meal.

The handle has holes for small carabiners, to hang it
on your pack.
