Some of our kids this summer used the "Flatworld Orikaso" type bowls.
They're light, reasonably sturdy, and fold flat for carrying. REI and
others carry them and they're relatively inexpensive. One feature
that's interesting for Philmont is that they're really easy to lick
clean if you fold them flat.
