I've been to Philmont two times and both we used a Rubbermaid containers
with lid to rehydrate, eat out of, and sump. We used the same process as
below. This was a lot easier to clean up after. We used our pots to boil
water only. We liked the Rubbermaid containers better because we felt the
lids sealed better. When we put hot water in them to clean, we would seal
them and swish the water around before human sumpping. For us they did not
leak where some of the lighter weight containers did.

We used the Glad Ware this summer at Philmont.
They held up fine.
Most meals we just added boiling water to meals in these bowls,
put lid on, let sit for ten minutes, eat, sump, cleaned, good to go.
No mess, no fuss.

Subject: [Philmont]: Personal eating bowls?
Has anyone had any experiance with using the new light weight micorwaveable,
dishwasher safe, freezer containers that are now in the supermarkets, for
personal bowls/plates for the trail. One brand is called "Glad Ware". They
are very light, but do they hold up in the packs?
thanks
