MessageI use 2 Zip Lock bowls, just like the Glad's.
You nest them so you don't burn your hands, helps keep the food warm and you have a clean one for desert...)
Most of the boys in all three of my crews have used them....no problems,
no damage or failures.
Much lighter than most anything else I have found.

Subject: RE: [Philmont]: Personal eating bowls?
The LEXAN bowls I've seen are too flat, food washes out onto your hand making them hard to mix in, and transfer heat too easily making them hard to hold.
We use the "glad ware" or similar lightweight, disposable food containers. They are heat resistant, and since they can be much larger than the LEXAN I see, you can put your hands where the hot food isn't. I've had not trouble washing the brand I use, smooth bottoms and corners.
Hard to find anything food safe that's lighter or cheaper, and they stack and are uniform.

We purchased 12 lexan bowls and 12 matching spoons and one dunk bag, and carry our utensils and bowls as part of the crew gear.
