The only fuel at Philmont TOTT and backcountry commissaries are white gas and Coleman PowerMax cartridges.

Subject: [Philmont]: Stove fuel?

We were wondering what fuel types are available at the TOTT store and at the back country stores and/or staff camps. One of our members just bought a pocket rocket that only uses the MSR fuel cylinders. I told him that though the idea was great in regards to stove weight, he would need to carry probably several cylinders with him over the ten day period. He's thinking you can purchase the fuel at the trading posts in the backcountry, but I don't remember seeing that as an option in 2004. Any input?
