Hello All. Several people asked me off-line where I derived my comments
below the trek summary. FYI, these were based on some photographic
evidence and memories that Tom provided during our off-line discussions.
So the determination of Trek 9 was not just based on Lover's Leap and
Baldy, but also fit all those various memories - except Beaubien. But
Tom's recollection of Beaubien was not firm, which is why I felt (and
feel) that Trek 9 is a pretty solid call.
I wonder if (outside of the Philmont museum) there is a collection of
Treks books back to their start? Anyone know? Scanning and posting
them on a permanent website would be a pretty cool project. Any
Woodbadgers out there looking for inspiration?
