I checked with Customer Service and they don't supply a replacement for that part (the check valve). I was wondering if you have any suggestions or tricks. I am going to try a good shot of compressed air to see if maybe there may be something stuck in the valve. Any other ideas?

Forry for the delay, but I been busssssssy building a Mueller 30 X 30 X 12 workshop/doghouse!
OK, take a large screwdriver and unscrew the check valve, Turn it counter clockwise to get it out. An overnight soak with Liquid Wrench oil might assist.
When you get it out, clean it good in carburetor cleaner and reinstall it. Usually it gets trash or gum on it that prevents the ball from seating.
The screwbriver will be big. Almost 5/8" X 3/32" I'm just guessing, but you can look down the pump tube and see the slot.
There is a special tool which fits the slot perfectly, but I always use a screwdriver.
