Our crew's solution, add Red Robin seasoning or/and Challula hot sauce to
everything..... YIS. Mike Conkey ('76, '02, '04 and '07)

| Subject: [philmont] Digest (10/03/2006 00:01) (#2006-157)--Hawaiian Chicken |
>------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
Our ranger let us in on the secret to make good (at least not bad)
Hawaiian Chicken--simmer it for 10 minutes or so vice letting it merely
rehydrate in boiled water. While it wasn't our crew's favorite meal,
everyone went for seconds with no encouragement needed, and there was
none left for the yummy bag.
I've found that many meals with freeze-dried meat or fruit chunks cook
and taste better when simmered a bit--cooking longer than the package
prescribes.
